During my radio career I’ve always enjoyed talking to listeners “on and off” the air. As a result I’ve struck up friendships with some very “cool” people like Jayson. He heard me one morning and called in to give me “road & traffic” conditions going over Sardine Canyon on a snowy day. We hit it off immediately and he’s become a “regular” on my “Morning Show” with a 645am feature. I christened him “Jammin’ Jayson” and he’s a “Desert Storm” vet who works in Logan. He’s the Utah coordinator of the National “Veterans Awareness” Organization, and again this year he’s spearheading the Utah Chapter for the “Ride to the Wall” in Washington D.C.
We’re getting the word out about this GREAT cause and event and even taking donations like: DVDs, CDs, puzzles, games, books and other “entertainment” items. Jason and the guys will be stopping at the SLC Veterans Nursing Home this Thursday at 1pm to visit with the Vets and give them the donations. For more info please call 801-200-1798.
